Robin Cook

Robin Cook is Vice President and Senior Counsel at the American Bankers Association, where he develops legal and legislative strategies across a variety of banking, payments, data security, intellectual property, technology, tax, and student lending issues. Before joining ABA, he was Senior Director of Advocacy and Counsel for Special Projects at the Credit Union National Association, where he advanced CUNA’s highest priority legislative and regulatory objectives, and directed the association’s litigation and payments policy efforts.

Previously, Robin was an antitrust attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he litigated cases for financial services clients and defended mergers at the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice. As a law student, he also worked for the House Committee on Homeland Security. 

Robin is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and received an undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Missouri.
