Since 2018 Nick has been Senior Counsel in charge of Data Protection and Privacy at Bank of the West. Before that, he was with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld for over 10 years, and clerked with the US Department of Justice. After graduating from Bowdoin College, Nick received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. Last year, he received a certificate as a Digital Lawyer from Assas University in Paris, in a program sponsored by BNP Paribas and conducted in conjunction with King’s College London covering cybersecurity, privacy, blockchain, digital solutions, cloud computing, e-signatures and other “digital” topics. In addition to cybersecurity and privacy, he covers BSA, AML, and KYC for Bank of the West Legal.
