Michael Gaston is an Innovation Strategist for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRBSF). In this role he prototypes experimental technologies for potential use within the Supervisory function. Prior to joining FRBSF, Michael worked as a Senior Quantitative Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and supported a range of modeling projects including Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST) and Bank Examination Tiered by Risk (BETR). Prior to joining the Federal Reserve System, Michael worked in the Aerospace and Defense sector as a Radar Signal Processing Analyst and developed prototypes and production level software for commercial and military applications. Michael holds a MS in Physics from California State University, Los Angeles and a BA from Northwestern University.
