Matthew May has successfully represented tenants, investors and property owners throughout the United States and abroad for over 25 years. Matthew founded May Realty Advisors in 2000 to bring a level of service and retail expertise to the investment area. Matthew has deep expertise in retail tenant representation, investment sales, project development and leasing, creative marketing, and core business economics acumen related to the investment sales segment of the business. His clients includes Macy’s, Teacher’s Insurance, Citi Bank, Safeway, Walgreens, CVS, CNL, among many others.

Prior to the formation of May Realty Advisors, Matthew ran the retail divisions in prominent real estate companies including Madison Partners where he represented and consulted on commercial projects including mixed-use, regional retail and office building developments. Matthew has completed over $1,000,000,000 in transactions.

Among his many accolades, Matthew was awarded the Top Retail Broker award by the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Top Performing Broker award by the city of Beverly Hills Economic Council and has been recognized as a Co-Star Power Broker. He has spoken at several high profile conferences on topics including distressed assets, investment sales and mixed-use, and serves as an expert consultant for the appraisal and retail industries. Matthew is a founding member of the Retail Brokers Network which consists of 55 retail focused companies throughout the United States and Canada. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (ACRE) and the International Association of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Matthew received a B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University. Matthew and May Realty Advisors are active supporters of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, City of Hope, AJU and the public schools system.
