Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
Laura joined the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) at its inception in 2011. She brings over 33 years of experience supervising and examining compliance with Federal consumer financial laws and regulations at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, the United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Thrift Supervision, and most recently at the CFPB. Prior to joining federal government service, Laura worked as an attorney in private practice and for the State of Texas.
Laura graduated from Southern Illinois University. She holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin.
