Dee McDougal is Senior Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion at Pacific Western Bank, a national provider of commercial banking services to startups, small and medium-sized businesses, and their investors. Dee directs Pacific Western Bank’s corporate diversity and inclusion strategy, where she focuses on creating innovative, sustainable plans and programs that promote diversity and inclusion across the bank’s stakeholder groups. Her previous professional experience includes roles within financial services and commercial real estate.
She is also co-founder of Black Wall Street, a nonprofit focused on increasing access to capital for minority entrepreneurs growing scalable companies. Her philanthropic and community impact roles also include board member, advisor and volunteer positions at Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, Empower Dance Foundation, Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina and the Boys & Girls Club of Durham and Orange Counties. She was recently named a Bizwomen Headliner in Banking and Finance, was selected as one of Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 business leaders, and included as one of American City Business Journals’ Influencers: Rising Stars, an inaugural list spotlighting 100 younger executives who already are having an impact on business being done in communities across the nation. Dee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
