Sessions

COVID-19 has had an unprecedented impact on the commercial credit market. Through this session, lenders will learn proactive strategies to identify and manage heightened credit risks triggered as borrowers slide into insolvency. Our speaker, an experienced commercial bankruptcy, workout and restructuring attorney, will discuss the “red flags” which lenders should look out for which indicate that their borrower may be experiencing financial distress. Discussion also will center on the action’s lenders may take to mitigate their risks prior to a borrower filing for bankruptcy. Finally, our speaker will provide a high‐level introduction to business bankruptcies, and explore the rights, remedies and protections that secured and unsecured lenders possess once the borrower (or guarantor) has filed for bankruptcy.
