Wholesales SBA 504 First Mortgage Program
This webinar is designed to give you tools to increase SBA 504 volume and lending capabilities for the bank. We will go over marketing techniques to use both offensively to win deals and defensively for lenders to maintain their banking relationships while still providing 504 financing to their clients. Tools include use of the SBA 504 1st mortgage wholesale market to help community banks beat stiff competition from both larger banks and 7(a) competition on a nationwide basis while earning fee income with no risk. Banks win by maintaining and gaining deposits, and earning premium. We will go over programs which enable lenders to increase their lending capacity, increase their credit box, and widen their choices of rates and terms offered to borrowers.

CDC Small Business Finance
Ken’s business background includes working as a commercial real estate broker in Phoenix prior to moving to San Diego to own and operate a health and fitness club. Ken later sold the club and moved into the lending arena with the company that helped finance his business – CDC Small Business Finance.
Ken has been with the CDC for over 30 years. For the first 20 years, he worked as a Sr. Loan Officer, originating SBA 504 and 7(a) loans in California. Ken has financed over 1,000 SBA loans for over $2 Billion. For the last 10 plus years, Ken has run the sales and marketing for CDC’s wholesale division – CDC Capital Markets – which provides nationwide funding for SBA 504 first mortgages with Morgan Stanley on a wholesale basis.
Ken is a former member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Development Companies. Ken has been the National Sales and Marketing Training Instructor for NADCO for over 15 years.
Ken’s personal mission is to inspire and enhance people’s lives by helping them achieve amazing results in the areas of mental, physical, and fiscal fitness. Personally, Ken enjoys most sports (especially surfing) and fitness. Ken has been teaching fitness for over 30 years and is a former 6 time US National and World Aerobic Champion.
Ken is currently on the Board of Directors of the Kauai North Shore Community Foundation – a non profit foundation created to enhance the educational, cultural and charitable vitality of Kauai’s North Shore. He is Chair of the Health and Wellness Committee and Race Director of the Ohana Fit Fest – their annual health and fitness event. He is a former Board member for the Princeville at Hanalei Community Association (now Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee), former Vice Chair of Anaina Hou Community Park, and former Board member of the Kauai North Shore Business Council.
Ken combines his background, expertise and passion of finance, fitness, real estate, business and people in his career and giving back to the community through his Board activities.
