Gene Collett
Managing Principal
Gene Collett is a managing principal with more than 15 years of compliance, banking and operational experience in mortgage and consumer lending, servicing, and deposit/operations. He has served as project leader on risk assessments, compliance audits, and process implementations for numerous financial institutions, and recent work includes mortgage servicing assessments, partnership on successful MOU & MRA responses, and TRID assessments at both community banks and a national lender. Gene’s focus is consumer compliance and process enhancement in financial institutions. Before joining Capco, he held multiple director and vice president-level compliance roles, ranging from specialty lending to bank holding companies. He has implemented regulatory reviews, reviewed and approved marketing materials, implemented anti-money laundering controls, managed nationwide credit review and examination response teams, and served as a fair lending and anti-money laundering officer. He holds the CRCM and ICBA Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP) designations, and an MBA from the University of Texas.
