This topic is particularly important given the present economic cycle, the burgeoning environmental and social governance (or ESG) movement, the recent adoption of CECL, enhanced regulatory focus on credit portfolios, and continuing focus on strategic transactions to enhance shareholder value.

Shawn advises board of directors and senior management teams of public and private financial institutions across the United States with respect to risk management, corporate governance, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, activist shareholder, and executive compensation matters. He serves as independent counsel for board committees, and has significant experience interacting with federal and state banking and securities regulators.
