Employee Retention Credit: What You Need to Know
The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a temporary refundable payroll tax credit available to qualified employers for 2020 and 2021. In this webinar, we will discuss what this credit was designed to do, to whom it applies and the best approach for obtaining the maximum credit available. The potential ERC benefit was supercharged by the Consolidated Appropriations Act which introduced new mechanics and thresholds and lifted the ban on businesses receiving PPP loan forgiveness from being eligible for the credit.
Who Should Attend: Financial, Tax, Credit, Compliance, and Accounting Professionals
- Learn how both for-profit businesses and tax-exempt organizations can claim the ERC if they are experiencing a significant decline in gross receipts or a shutdown by government order
- Explore which businesses who may not have previously considered the ERC in 2020 due to eligibility requirements can now qualify for the ERC retroactively in 2020
- Discover the analysis necessary to maximize the benefits of the ERC while considering the impact of PPP loan forgiveness and other tax credits
