He is a frequent speaker, instructor, advisor, and writer for many different educational groups and associations. Formerly SVP and senior credit policy officer at SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, he was responsible for developing, implementing, and administering credit policies for SunTrust’s wholesale lines of business; including commercial, commercial real estate, corporate investment banking, capital markets, business banking and private wealth management. Over his career he has served as a chief credit officer in Florida banking, chief financial officer of a Honolulu construction firm, adjunct economics professor at several colleges and universities, and a combat engineer officer in the US Army.
