M&A Outlook for 2020
The session will explore the current M&A environment in the western region and the outlook for 2020. The session will take the perspective of both the buyer and seller and discuss the elements of what makes a deal come together successfully, and what can negatively impact a deal. Both quantitative measures and qualitative concerns will be reviewed in this interactive session.
Facing the Liquidity Challenge Head On
Loan growth is outpacing deposit growth. Loans are becoming a higher percentage of total assets. Wholesale funding levels are increasing and the potential for deposit attrition continues to grow. Liquidity is under pressure. This session will address the changing liquidity landscape, and what every bank should be doing to develop a “best practice” approach in liquidity management—regardless of the levels of liquidity you have today.
The Latest on California’s Privacy Act
Privacy and data security have emerged as a bi-partisan issue, which was demonstrated by the swift passage of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of 2018. While businesses are working diligently to comply with the CCPA given its January 1, 2020, effective date, additional reforms designed to protect consumers are on the horizon and efforts by the California Legislature and at the ballot box are sure to encourage other states to act and will prompt conversations at the federal level. Join us for this timely and informative discussion where we will provide an update on the CCPA and foreshadow what we anticipate surfacing during the year.
Cybersecurity Takes a Seat in the Boardroom
Matters of technology, including cybersecurity, must be of great importance at all levels of the bank, including the board. This session will take a look at current cybersecurity issues, regulator expectations, and related matters that your board must be educated on. Board members and bank management will gain key insights into how to manage this important business issue, from compliance to protection of bank and customer assets.
